Cadet Ian Arthur Eric Wayland Cleveland, was first commissioned effective 18 July 1943, his unique Officer's number being 288087. On being commissioned he was posted to the Royal Armoured Corps. Ian's promotions are summarised below:

- 18/07/1943: 2nd Lieutenant (Royal Armoured Corps)
- 05/12/1944: War Substantive Lieutenant (Royal Artillery)
- 15/05/1951: Captain (Royal Artillery)
- 21/11/1959: Retires his commission

Ian Arthur Eric Wayland Cleveland, son of Eric Albert Mendham Cleveland () and Helen Audrey Cleveland (nee Wayland) was a native of, Elham, Kent, England, where he was born on, 15 May 1924. He is recorded as having died at, Reading, Berkshire, England, on, 24 November 2012
