Although it's origins date back several hundred years, Robert Gordon's Technical College was formally established in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1910. In 1991, the college name changed to Robert Gordon's Institute of Technology, and in the the following year, was accorded University status becoming Robert Gordon University
