Ernest Henry Kew Mundell, son of James Henry Mundell & Louisa Rebecca Mundell (nee Kew) who was born of British parents at Fort Beaufort District, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa, on, 21 November 1869. Ernest was one of 10 x children. He married Annie van Heerden (a native of Cradock), in 1896. Ernest died at Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa, on. 23 June 1936, at which time he was recorded as having been a 'Retired Railway Servant'
