The West Yorkshire Electoral Registers (1840-1962) records Bruce Lee (of Normanton) as a serviceman (absent voter) in the Armed Forces as of 30 June 1945. As from 1947-62, Bruce is recorded living with his wife Jenny at, 61 Dalefied Road, Normanton, Yorkshire, England

The Royal Artillery enlistment registers, and 'Tracer Cards' indicate that Bruce Lee attested for the British Army in 1938, with date of enlistment recorded as 1 May 1939, on which date he was posted to the Royal Garrison Artillery of the Royal Regiment of Artillery, being allocated the unique Army Number 1467500, from the block of 1400001-1842000 of army numbers that had been allocated to the Royal Garrison Artillery in 1920. His extant 'Tracer Card' shows that on enlistment he was posted to the 210th Heavy Anti-Aircraft Training Regiment, Royal Regiment of Artillery. Prior to embarking for overseas service, Bruce married Jenny Gledhill at Lower Agbrigg, Yorkshire, England, sometime during the third quarter of 1941. Bruce survived the Second World War and later transferred to the Army Reserve on, 7 July 1946

At the time of the compilation of the National Census for England and Wales in 1921, Bruce Lee is shown living with his parents at his maternal grandparents place of residence located at 27 Crowther Street, Castleford, Yorkshire. Bruce Lee is recorded to have died at Leeds, Yorkshire, England on, 5 February 2008
