Medals Verifications: Both Great War medals confirmed as entitled per below following cited medal rolls. Second World War era police and civil defence medal rolls are not yet in the public domain, however the recipient is shown recorded as a Special Constable in the 1939 National Register for England & Wales, plus his 'Defence Medal' and 'SCLSM' named boxes of issue accompany the medal group
