b). Named card box of issue for Military LSGC. With printed label on lid showing medal name and rank W.O. Cl. I
Medals & Clasp Verification: The GSM with clasp 'Palestine' verified as entitled per the respective campaign medal roll referenced below. The medal rolls for GVI era Military LS&GC's are not yet in the public domain similarly the campaign medal rolls of the British Army for the Second World War are not yet in the public domain, and neither are the World War Two medal cards for the Royal Engineers extant. The recipient would of course have been entitled to other campaign and war medals in respect of his Second World War services:

Francis 'Frank' George Sherman, was a third generation of his family to have served in the Royal Engineers. Francis was the son of William Thomas Sherman (who in 1931 held the rank of Lieutenant) & Rosetta Mary Ann Sherman (nee Denning), and was born in Malta Colony on, 1910. Francis married Patricia Emma Talbot, at Croydon, Surrey, England, in 1941. After retiring from the British Army, Francis lived was living in Cyprus. He died in Cyprus on, 21 August 1965. His address at time of death was, 12 Harvey Drive, Richmond Village, Dhekelia. He was succeeded by his wife, Patricia Emma Sherman, to whom his estate was bequeathed
