The medals - less the GSM which is loose - are all professionally court-mounted by 'Spink & Son Ltd' and as-worn by the recipient. The reverse of the mounting pad retaining its original long stout hinged pin and clasp fittings

- Regular Army Certificate of Service: Shows service 1931-1953 prior to being commissioned in 1953
- Commission Warrant dated 4 December 1953 appointing recipient as Lieutenant (Quartermaster)
- Named award certificate for Coronation Medal 1953 from Buckingham Palace (awarded as RSM)
- Central Chancery letter pertaining to the recipients investiture at Buckingham Palace, dated 10/12/1960
- Coloured portrait in mess dress wearing miniatures as Captain (QM) W. H. Cobb, M.B.E., Cheshire Regiment
- Regimental 'named' group photo Meeanee Day parade in 'Canal Zone' (Regimental Sergeant Major)
- Large group photograph of Nigerian Army unit, with recipient in centre (Para Wings on arm)
A Unique to Regiment Medal and Clasp Combination: Two NCO instructors of the Cheshire Regiment, were posted to Singapore Colony in 1940, as instructors to the Straits Settlements Volunteer Force - the other instructor, No. 3708587 Peter Neild was RSM to 4/SSVF, did not serve post-war in Canal-Zone or Nigeria). William Cobb was attached as instructor to 1st (Singapore Volunteer Corps) Battalion Straits Settlements Volunteer Force. 1942-1945, and only William Cobb - who survived the 'Death Railway' in Thailand - earned this unique combination of medals to the Cheshire Regiment
