He was senior assistant in the Kamarhatty Jute Mills, Calcutta, until he retired last January and made his home at 27 Loons Road, Lochee.

Mr Fox started work in Dundee at Wallace Foundry, and was with J.C. Duffus & Co., Ltd., before he went to India 29 years ago. He started as a mechanic in the Kamarhatty mills. During the first world war he served with the R.A.S.C. in France.
