Obverse: A two part item of die-cast insignia the stag-head - a twelve pointer - in relief upon a ducal coronet within ivy wreath and below the regimental legend 'Bydand'

Reverse: Indented with makers marks 'Jamieson, Aberdeen', and complete with a silver or s/p long hinged stout pin and clasp fittings as issued

With an indistinct continental 'poincon' (silver assay stamp) see indentation on top right of laurel wreath

The maker 'Jamieson' (for George Jamieson & Son) then as now (the descendent company in 2025 is 'Jamieson & Carry') was the Premier jeweller in Aberdeen, with their premises located at 107 Union Street. The company advertised as maker of 'Granite ornaments and Scotch Jewellery, Crest Brooches, Highlands Ornaments and agent for Elkington & Co'. From 1933 the company changed it's trading name to Jamieson & Carry, located at 142 Union Street
