A bronze contemporary strike

The award was instituted in 1974 as a 15 year long service award to qualifying members of the Australian Uniformed Services, i.e. members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Australian police services, fire services and ambulance services. Eligible service was only counted after a person turned 18, and service had to be continuous. The further service bar is awarded for 10 years additional service
