Only a single (1 x award of the C.G.M. (Flying) was ever made during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, viz the award to Corporal J. D. Coughlan, C.G.M.. Royal Australian Air Force, who was decorated with the C.G.M. (Flying) in 1968 for his conspicuous gallantry during the Vietnam War
