Shanghai Municipal Council. Emergency Star 1937

Awarded by the Awarded to all members, both regulars and volunteers of the uniformed services of the Shanghai Municipality Council, who were mobilized for service and deployed at any time during the 'Emergency' of August-November 1937, this included the Shanghai Municipality Police, Shanghai Volunteer Corps (including Shanghai Russian Regiment), and Shanghai Fire Brigade, and to a multitude of nationalities who served within those forces

Like all other medals issued by the Shanghai Municipal County in the period 1900-1947, the Emergency Star was designed and struck locally in Shanghai

The medal fitted on a good bright length of riband, with only minor soiling & wear
