An Infantryman casualty campaign medal pair for the Korean War, to a soldier who later died in Germany: Private Raymond Heslop, 1st Battalion King's Shropshire Light Infantry

Died-in-Service, Germany: Private Raymond Heslop (born 1931) is confirmed to have died in Germany on 25 May 1953, while serving there with his battalion under higher formation British Army of the Rhine. His body was laid to rest in the British Military Cemetery Limmer, Seelze, Hanover, Lower-Saxony, Germany, where a memorial headstone with his regimental insignia and service details, perpetuates his memory for posterity. The headstone with the below epitaph from his notified next of kin, his father:

- United Nations Service Medal. With clasp 'Korea'. On original corded 'Butcher's Apron' riband with issue mounting brooch
Both medals retaining their original - and clean - silk ribands. The UN medal suspended from its mounting bar with hinged pin and intricate drop-lock clasp fitting as issued
Sold together with:
- Original white named / labelled white card box of issue for the British Korea medal. The label with pencil inscription 'Re-issue to N.O.K.'
- Original blue card box of issue, with label for an English' language issue of the UN service medal
Private Raymond Heslop never lived to personally receive his hard earned campaign medals. By the time the medals were issued he was already dead, and returned to the Army Medal Office - only subsequently to be 'Re-issued' to the recipient's notified next of kin. The medals remaining in pristine condition as received by the NOK
