Sold together with a long article (and far too long to here quote) - presumably published in a North Staffordshire Regiment Regimental Journal. The article including a captioned portrait of the author, Lieutenant George Savage in FSO. The article is a copy of a very detailed letter written by Lieutenant Savage while in Mesopotamia, where he was detailed for the important job of 'Harvest Officer', involving his command sourcing food supplies from Arab landowners - which was fraught with dangers and difficulties.
