At the time the recipient Hakim Khan earned his 'Pakistan Medal' he was holding the rank of Naik Storeman (Corporal Storeman) while serving with the Royal Pakistan Army Service Corps, of the Pakistan Army. The inclusion of the SR prefix before his number indicate that Hakim Khan was serving with the Supply branch of the Royal Pakistan Army Service Corps
