Geoffrey Bernard Allen, son of Bernard Allen (an Accountant) and Kate Allen and Allen was a native of Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, where he was born on 26 December 1910. The 1939 National Register of England records Geoffrey married to Frances Joan Allen (nee Wilcox) and employed as a Travelling Varnish & Paint Salesman - as well as serving as a volunteer Fireman with the Auxiliary Fire Service - the couple residing at 130 Church Road, Moseley, Birmingham
A collectors typed note accompanying the medals states:

Geoffrey B. Allen: Warrant Number 5704. Birmingham Special Constabulary Reserve. E Division Mobile officer No. R'288. Joined 30th September 1941. Stationed at Moseley Street, King's Heath Police stations. Resigned 29th June 1948. Awarded L.Service medal on the 17th April 1945. Also entitled to Defence Medal. 274 , Moor Green Lane Moseley, last address.

Geoffrey B. Allen served with the Birmingham Special Constabulary Reserve, serving during the Second World War at Moseley Street and King’s Heath Police Stations, and was awarded his Long Service Medal on 17 April 1945.
Geoffrey Bernard Allen is recorded to have died in England on 1995. At the time of his death he had been residing at Burnside Cottage, Milton Combe, Yelverton. Devon.
