Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy (J.J.) Group of Hospitals, located in Byculla, Bombay (now Mumbai), is a prominent, government-run, multidisciplinary healthcare institution. It is affiliated with the Grant Government Medical College and has been serving as a crucial, affordable healthcare provider for over 180 years

The foundation stone of the J. J. Hospital was laid in 1843, and the hospital pened in 1845. It is the flagship hospital of Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy (J.J.) Group of Hospitals

It the oldest hospital in Munbai, and the first to be built for use by native Indians during the era of the Honourable East India Company

The J. J. Hospital has a long tradition in the employment of medical staff, Doctors, Scientists, Nurses and Orderlies from amongst the Parsi community of Mumbai, and during the British Raj had a close working relationship with the Parsi Ambulance Corps of the St. John Ambulance Association (India)
