A later striking with obverse die flaw from the original dies that were engraved and held at the Calcutta Mint, India, from where all Coorg Medals were struck & issued

The Coorg Medal was issued in either Gold, or Silver, and was only awarded to Indian native recipients

Coorg Medals were issued without any authorised medal riband. 'If' subsequently worn by the recipients the practise would have been for the medals to be suspended from the neck by chains or string cords
