John Henry Bridcutt, son of Henry Owen Scott Bridcutt (in 1939 was a Manager Aircraft Manufacturer & serving as A.R.P.) and Agnes Margery Bridcutt (nee Janes) was a native of Watford, Hertfordshire, England, where he was born 7 March 1928. At the time of the compilation of the National Register for England & Wales in 1939, John was recorded as schoolboy attending the Bramcote Hall School, Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, where at the age of 11 years he was a 'Boarder'. On 21 October 1948, Cadet John Henry Bridcutt was commissioned into the British Army from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as a 2nd Lieutenant into the Royal Regiment of Artillery, his British Army Officer number was 397189. John was promoted Lieutenant, 21 October 1950, and is recorded to have resigned his commission effective 28 June 1952 on which date he was granted the Honorary rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Bridcutt would have served in Korea as a Gunner Officer, for the usual 1/+ year in theatre service sometime after November 1950, and before 28 June 1952. John Henry Bridcutt is recorded to have died at Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England, 4 October 2005
