Medal Verification: There is no medal roll for the Coronation 1911 with Scottish Police reverse in the public domain or digitally, however the recipients service as an 'Edinburgh (Porobello' Police Constable (later Sergeant) is referred to in his published obituary and other official sources cited below:

Only an estimated 1,465 x Coronation Medals 1911 with 'Scottish Police' reverse were struck and issued - a much smaller number than the medals that had bene issued to Scottish Police Forces for the 1902 Coronation (for those on Royal Duty during King Edward's visit to Scotland in 1903) what had been issued for the
Alexander Inlay Slora, son of William Slora (a Gardener) & Eliza Slora (nee ) was a native of, Aberdeen, Scotland, where he was born, circa 1878. At the time of the compilation of the 1881 National Census for Scotland, young Alexander, was recorded residing with his parents and siblings (comprising 3 x brothers and a younger sister), at their residence located at, 21 Bloomfield Road, Aberdeen, at which time he is shown as being 13 year of age and described as employed as a 'Message Boy'. Alexander later relocated to Edinburgh. where at the time of the compilation of the 1901 National Census for Scotland, he is recorded as a 'Police Constable' with the Edinburgh City Police Force, and serving / residing at the 'Police Barracks', located at 118 High Street Portobello. He subsequently servied for many years in the Portobello District, where he latterly held the rank of Sergeant. Alexander Slora is recorded to have died at Edinburgh, Scotland, on 29 April 1951, being buried there on 2 May 1951.The following obituary to him was published in the 'Edinburgh Evening News' issue of 1 May 1951:

Mr. Alexander Slora, a former police sergeant, has died at his home, at 12 Wellington Street, Portobello, at the age of 74.
Mr. Slora was a Past Master of Lodge Portobello, a P.Z. of Admiral Vernon Royal Arch Chapter, and a member of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Midlothian. He was a member of the Police. Marine and Portobello bowling clubs.
