Killed-in-Action: 6853345 Corporal Thomas Albert Nodder, 11th (1st Bn. The Queen's Westminster's) Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps is confirmed having been Killed-in-Action at the great desert victory of the Battle of El Alamein, 26 October 1942

Thomas Albert Nodder was the son of Thomas William Nodder & Ada Jane Nodder, and the husband of Gladys Daisy Nodder (nee Peacock) of Hackney, London. At the time of his death in action, he was 24 years of age. His body was recovered from the battlefield, and now lies buried in the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery located at the El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt, where his life and supreme sacrifice is commemorated in perpetuity by the CWGC. His memorial headstone is inscribed with a tender epitaph from his wife;

Thomas Albert Nodder, married Gladys Daisy Peacock, in Hackney, London, during the last quarter of 1941 - prior to embarking for overseas service in Egypt. The deceased's widow Gladys Daisy Nodder (nee Peaccock), subsequently re-married, John Frederick Wilkins at Hackney, London, during the 3rd quarter of 1947, the medals being sent to the London address of Gladys, which was:
