Nora Sybil Harrison, daughter of John Arthur Harrison (latterly a Tailor & Draper) & Ethel May Harrison (nee Window) was a native of Wallasey, Cheshire, England, where she was bon on, 28 February 1911. By the time of the compilation of the 1921 National Census for England & Wales, the Harrison family had relocated to Nottingham, England, where the parents, son Marshall Harrison (b.1908) and daughter Nora, were then living at, 31 Burbrington Road, Sherwood, Nottingham. At the time of the compilation of the 1939 National Register for England & Wales, Nora is listed as employed as a 'Saleswoman, & Buyer Heavy Drapery' - with further remarks showing she was an active volunteer member of the National Hospital Reserve - and living at home with her retired parents at the family residence located at;

Nora - a British patriot - had a busy 'War', further to her membership of the S.J.A.B. / National Hospital Reserve, Nora enlisted for service with the Womens Land Army at Nottingham on 14 September 1942. At the time of her enlistment in the WLA, her occupation was described as 'Medical Orderly'. Nora was given the service number 99234, and served for the duration of the war, and beyond with the Nottinghamshire Area of the WLA. Nora took her final discharge from the 'Notts & Derby Area of the WLA on, 17 June 1949, after completion of her contract of service. Nora died at Nottingham, England, 15 November 1996
