Japan (Taisho era): 1914-1920 War Medal
The medal issued in respect of the Imperial Japanese forces - both the Imperial Japanese Army and Imperial Japanese Navy - for services after 1915, the largest of which was as part of the Allied intervention force that served in Siberia in support of White Russian forces during the Russian Civil War
This medal had the same obverse design and riband as the 1914-15 Campaign Medal, but with a different reverse inscription
Medal fitted with original silk riband, this retaining the customary hook and eye riband fittings on reverse of the riband as issued
The medal is sold complete with its original paulownia wood box of issue, this latter with the name of the campaign medal in gilt 'Kanji' letters on the lid of the box
